During 2025, testing of services for end users has continued in the Sitemax off-grid mobile network in the Kiruna mountains. As a result, Telia has become the first mobile operator to publicly deliver its services to end users in this mountain network.
All users with subscriptions from Telia, from any of Telia’s other brands, as well as from the “virtual” mobile operators that use Telia’s network, can now make use of the coverage in the mountain network. Currently, the coverage extends along approximately 50 km of the King’s trail, from Abiskojaure to Sälka west of Kebnekaise, including parts of the surrounding areas.
